NEW DELHI: Samsung is set to launch its flagship phablet of the year — the Galaxy Note 8 — in just a couple of days. To keep the fans excited and get the buzz going around the smartphone, Samsung has been revealing certain teasers from time to time. Adding to the playlist are two new YouTube videos. The videos come from official Samsung Korea YouTube channels and tease the S Pen and dual rear camera abilities that will come as a part of the Galaxy Note 8.
The first 15-second video suggests the Galaxy Note 8 to focus on a particular subject, blurring the objects around it, a technique used by a majority of the dual rear camera smartphones these days. The video also teases the inclusion of the optical zoom feature. Given the rumours that the device will sport dual rear cameras, features like these shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
The second 15-second video shows the enhanced S Pen abilities of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. Although not much was shown about the accessory, we assume it may come with better sensitivity and accuracy as compared to what came with the Galaxy Note 7.
While this directly teases the Galaxy Note 8 features in the video, Samsung could have revealed some more features back in July itself.
The Galaxy Note 8’s camera is said to be supplied by the company’s own division – Samsung Electro-Mechanics or SEM. And SEM on its website posted a couple of features that its new dual camera setup can carry.
The dual camera setup will also be able to capture more light at night, resulting in brighter images. In terms of HDR or High Dynamic Range, each of the two modules may click an image each and merge it together to deliver stable brightness and contrast levels.
